We had a wonderful stay at Hotell Sodra Berget in Sundsvall. The hotel sits on the tallest hill in the area, providing us with a breathtaking view of the entire city and the surrounding nature. From our room's balcony, we were able to fully enjoy the stunning scenery. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and there was ample space for sitting and storing our belongings. The bathroom was also quite spacious. The breakfast offered a nice variety of options, including the option to order fresh french toast from the kitchen. , there was plenty of parking available in front of the hotel. Being located in the middle of a large nature reserve made for a refreshing change from the city hotels we had stayed in before on our road trip.
Nothing not to love! 😊

Spacious and cool enough room with exceptionally comfortable bed and a mini-bar, climate control, and flat-screen TV. Excellent breakfast — plenty of meals. In the middle of the city, very convenient.

Clean hotel in a big building near to the bistro and a hilltop and the beautiful restaurant. New-fashioned room, functional with a fantastic view. Absolutely superb and excellent breakfast with plenty of reasonably priced foods. Comfortable experience there.

Clean and the staff was pleasant and welcoming. My room with a double bed, a fantastic view and a window towards a hallway was cool enough and fairly quiet. Its location at a medium distance from Sundsvall Slalom Slope was stunning. The area was lovely, a decent base for me.
Well, Wi-Fi was bad.

The hotel is located at the top of a mountain with stunning views and is just a short distance from the city center. The renovated areas of the hotel looked great, although our mini-suite wasn't completely renovated. The staff was very responsive when we had a noise issue with neighbors playing loud music. The restaurant had delicious food and the staff went out of their way to make our meal fantastic. The room and beds were spacious, and the overall experience was positive.
Everything was great! 👍

View of Sundsvall in the minisuite was excellent. Spa in the suite was also great. Buffet breakfast had a nice range and also excellent views of the city. Wifi was reliable and good, although not as blazingly fast as other Swedish locations.
Bit confusing as to which elevators had what access to what floors, depending on time of day. Staff got confused and needing to find the correct booking, but once sorted this was straightforward.

The location at the top of the "South Hill", surrounded by woodlands and a great view of Sundsvall below.
Although overlooking Sundsvall, the town is not a convenient walk away - transport will be required. This is not necessarily a drawback, for me it was a plus point, but it can be viewed as a negative depending on what you want from a hotel. It is not centrally located.

Located in a picturesque setting, this hotel offers breathtaking views from its rooms and the 180 ° restaurant. The restaurant serves excellent food and provides a memorable dining experience. The hotel also offers a wide range of activities, ensuring that guests are well entertained during their stay.
Some areas of the hotel, such as the corridors and bathrooms, show signs of age and could benefit from renovation.

The location is up on top of a large hill that they use for skiing in the winter. It has a spectacular view of Sundsvall and the surrounding area. I upgraded to a suite overlooking the valley. (Note that road work is being done to the road to the hotel so there can be some delays arriving/departing but this is not the fault of the hotel.)
Hotel is a bit overpriced for the money compared to other Eurpoean hotels. Rooms are not air conditioned and the fan did not work because the power was out on the floor. It took some time to get it restored so my room seemed hotter than the sauna in the bathroom! Restaurant is very expensive.

We had a wonderful stay at this luxurious hotel! The location on top of a high hill provided us with breathtaking views of the city. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room was spacious and well-designed, with a cozy sitting area where we could admire the stunning view. We appreciated the Bluetooth stereo system, as it allowed us to play our own music from our devices. The restaurant had delicious food and the staff, especially Carl, was friendly and attentive. We also loved the extensive breakfast options and the cozy bar area. The spa facilities were top-notch and we indulged in relaxing massages and body treatments. this place exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it to our family and friends.
We highly recommend this hotel to our family and friends.

Stunning views and excellent dining experience! The location is perfect for anyone who enjoys hiking as there are many trails to explore right outside the door. I also loved that the rooms were spacious and had great amenities. Another advantage was the friendly reception staff that were always helpful.
I was disappointed to learn that children were only allowed in the pool once a week. This was not ideal for families with young children that were expecting to enjoy more swimming time during their stay.
